How to Update Your WFH Wardrobe for Spring

We’ve officially entered a new season of working from home. And, by now, your WFH outfits might be starting to feel a little… well, repetitive. In winter, we had chunky jumpers and comfy leggings on heavy rotation, but now that it’s spring, it feels like the right time for a quick wardrobe refresh.

By that, we mean swapping in WFH clothes that are comfy enough for lounging on your lunch break, polished enough for Zoom meetings, and light enough for spring’s warmer temperatures. It might be tempting to turn off the camera and stay in your pyjamas from AM to PM, but experts say that getting dressed is better for your mental health. Plus, you won’t want to miss this season’s work-and-play looks.

Here are 10 spring essentials we’ll be adding to our WFH wardrobes…

1. Comfy Trousers

Shop the look: Jogger Trousers in Navy, Wide Band Bengaline Pant in White

First, let’s address the bottom half. Jeans feel too restrictive for work-from-home wear, so you’re looking for trousers that combine comfort and style – perfect for work, running errands and an evening stroll. Joggers are a staple, and a slim, tapered fit is eminently flattering. Choose a chic navy shade that goes with everything, from pastel knits to neutral tees.

Stretchy trousers are also a must-own. Not quite leggings and not quite jeans, they offer a form-fitting alternative to joggers, so you feel a little more dressed-up. Try the Bengaline Pants (above right), which come in a variety of colours, from Navy and Khaki to Grey and White.

2. Rainbow Knits

Shop the look: Lace Knit Cardigan in Multi Print, Rainbow Knit in Multi Print

Few things make your getting-ready routine more enjoyable than dressing up in rainbow brights. These pastel knits strike just the right balance of whimsy and stylish, so they’re weekend and work appropriate. Plus, because they’re lightweight layers, they can be teamed with a white tee for transeasonal styling. That way, as soon as the afternoon temperatures rise, you can peel it off and bask in the sun.

3. Chic Shirts

Shop the look: Frill Detail Top in Cream Print, Frill Pussybow Top in Lilac Print

Blouses can be breezy and comfortable, too. Case in point: these floaty tops, which team springtime florals with boardroom elegance for a dressier feel. Wear with stretchy pants that look tailored but feel like your comfiest leggings, and you'll be serving head-to-toe professionalism that transforms your mindset for those bigger meetings.

4. Classic Stripes

Shop the look: Stripe Long Sleeve Tee in Multi, Summer Stripe Sweater in Multi

Stripes are timeless. No matter the season, a stripe top is a staple in your WFH wardrobe. Now, we’re giving it a spring upgrade by opting for sunny hues that add a punchy pop of colour. Stay on the rainbow route by tucking the Stripe Long Sleeve Tee (above left) into navy joggers. Or go bright and bold with a colour block sweater that brightens up those early conference calls.

5. Layered Jewellery

Shop the look: Initial Necklace in Gold, Mermaids Tail Necklace in Gold Tone

A necklace is one of the most effortless ways to level up your WFH look. Layer two when wearing basic tees and sweaters, and you’ll instantly appear more polished. An initial pendant against something that sparkles is one of our favourite jewellery combinations. Wear one slightly longer and one slightly shorter so they each stand out against your outfit.
