Carraig Donn is proud to partner with Cancer Fund for Children as its Charity Partner for 2026, with a shared commitment to supporting children, young people and families affected by childhood cancer across Ireland. 

Cancer Fund for Children provides vital emotional, social and therapeutic support to families navigating a childhood cancer diagnosis. Through this partnership, Carraig Donn hopes to help raise significant funds to support the charity's services and contribute towards the development of Daisy Lodge Mayo, a purpose built therapeutic short break centre that will provide families with a place to rest, recover and reconnect.

As part of this partnership, customers now have the opportunity to support Cancer Fund for Children through our new €1 customer donation initiative, available in all 43 Carraig Donn stores nationwide and online. 

How You Can Help

 

From this week, customers shopping in any of our 43 stores, as well as online, will have the opportunity to donate €1 as part of their checkout journey. These customer donations, also known as micro-donations, are collected securely through Pennies, a charity fundraising platform that has helped raise over £85 million for charitable causes over the past decade. 

Following an initial launch in our Westport store, we were incredibly encouraged to see that more than 50% of customers chose to donate €1 at checkout. This early response demonstrates the generosity of community across Ireland. 

Importantly, 90% of all funds raised through customer donations will go directly to Cancer Fund for Children, helping to fund vital services and support for families affected by childhood cancer. 

 

The Difference Your Donation Makes

 

While €1 may seem like a small amount, together those donations can have a lasting impact on children and young people living with cancer, and on the families who support them every step of the way.

Supporting Daisy Lodge Mayo 

 

Funds raised through our partnership will help support Cancer Fund for Children's services and contribute towards Daisy Lodge Mayo, a therapeutic short-break centre currently under development for families affected by childhood cancer.

The facility will provide families with an opportunity to spend valuable time together, create special memories and enjoy a break from the challenges of treatment and hospital visits.

The €1 donation initiative is just one part of our fundraising journey throughout 2026. 

Customers can also look forward to a range of fundraising activities, including exclusive product launches, community events, Tea Days and fashion shows, all helping to raise vital funds for Cancer Fund for Children.
