First up, we’re kicking off with wall art. Whether you're curating a gallery wall to show off the things you love, or looking to add one or two prints to a room to break up the monotony of single colour, wall art will help you decorate your home in style.

Wall art isn’t just limited to the lounge or your living areas either. Both kitchen and bathroom wall art are increasing in popularity, with people becoming more adventurous in showing off their style. The first thing to do is decide on your style. Are you going to go for something light and easy to mount like a canvas, or are you going to be a bit more traditional and go for something with a frame? Canvas wall arts are handy because not only are they easy to put up, they come in a variety of sizes, from a small canvas up to huge ones.

Mirrors

Mirrors aren’t just for a cheeky little look at yourself when walking past them (we all do it!), they present an entirely new dimension to a room, bringing with them character and personality. It doesn’t have to be a plain square mirror (though it can be if that is what you like!), it could be a round art deco mirror or a minimal floor mirror, the options are diverse and neutral.

If a bedroom mirror is on the cards, you can never go wrong with a full length standing mirror, but there are no limitations to the style. No matter the room, and no matter the theme you have, there is a mirror shaped and styled to match any decor in any room of your home.

Indoor Plants & Botanicals

You can never go wrong with having plants in your home, but staying on top of watering them and feeding them can be a bit of a chore, especially if you have a busy lifestyle. It can be difficult to know where to put them, how much to water and whether they need specific feed or not. Remove all of the thought of having plants with some fantastic faux plants for your home, just as beautiful, but not as much responsibility. From big plants to indoor hanging plants, there is something for all environments. 

First you need to decide on what you want - Do you want a big plant with large leaves, or a small plant that can sit on a shelf and look cute? Where are you going to put the plant? Does your work from home setup need a little bit of colour, or is there an empty corner in your living room? Once you’ve decided on the space, it’s time to start shopping. 

The great thing about faux plants is that as well as not needing any care, they can go into any room in the house and look fantastic without worrying about whether they will survive. You can have bathroom plants, kitchen plants or plants in a darker corner of the house, and they will always look great. 

Blankets, Cushions & Throws

Every house needs blankets, cushions and throws. They’re a staple, a comfort that we all need at some point. Whether they’re for decoration or practical use, the use of throws and cushions can entirely change the decor of your home. Create a feng shui in your home to help you feel at ease with a selection of well placed cushions and blankets. 

If you’ve darker furniture in your home, inject some life into it with some bold and bright cushions or make a statement with a solid colour throw, perfect for slicing up any darker colours with something a little edgy. On the flip side, if you have a brighter sofa, some dark cushions would provide a great accent, helping to break up the bold colours with something that can tone it down while still making it pop.

Cushions and throws aren’t just for the winter periods either, they can make great additions to your outdoor living collection, for chilly nights on the beach or sitting in the garden with friends and family.  They’re also a great addition to a children’s room, as well as a nursery. Glassware & Tableware

Finally, with the summer season upon us, it’s time to break out the nice tableware, glasses and mugs and turn yourself into the host with the most! Your kitchen should be somewhere you want to be, after all we spend a lot of time in there! It’s the hub for social chats when friends are over, it’s the place everybody loves the most (for obvious reasons) and it might even be the place where you go to chill. 

Spruce up your kitchen table with brand new tableware, from chopping boards and cheese platters to floral pitchers, there’s something to sprinkle a little pzazz into any kitchen or dining area. It doesn’t have to be much, even just some new mugs, new plates or some brightly coloured tea towels to hang up on the cooker. Little things make a big difference in decor, so you don’t need to drastically change the way your room looks in order to spruce it up a little.
